GETTING STARTED

1.  Type in your keyword phrase you want to analyze.

2.  Select your geographic location for your query. I typically use the United States since most of my campaign center around driving traffic to amazon.com.

3.  You can select how your keyword search term has trended over a specific time period. From hourly to the past 12 month.

4.  Select a category to analyze. There is a “Books & Literature” category.

5.  You further refine you’re your category search by clicking the drop down arrow beside the category to reveal more specific sub categories.

6.  The first piece of information shows you the search trend over time. Is the keyword trending up? Down? Steady?

  • Also, you can compare trends from up to three keywords (e.g., romance novels and romance books).

REGIONAL INTEREST

7.  If you are on a very limited budget the “Regional Interest” can help you target where you might want to focus your advertising spend for a search campaign and/or display campaign. You can see data by sub region (state), metro area, or city.

8.  Under the “Queries” (Top) is where you will find the “hot” keywords related to your keyword search query. This can help you find new keywords and keywords you might consider putting additional resources toward in your online advertising campaign.

9.  Next is the “Queries” (Rising) where you will find the top search term queries that are currently on the rise over your selected period of time.
